Puakō and South Kohala Regional Wastewater Master Plan Public Meeting

In June 2023, the County published a  Project Definition Report . Public comments on the Report were accepted through November 2023.

Based on the Project Definition Report and submitted public comments, the County has prepared a  Draft Regional Wastewater Master Plan for Puakō and other communities within the South Kohala District . The Master Plan provides recommendations for the regional area wastewater infrastructure through the 30-year planning period, 2022 to 2052.

As the proposing agency, the County is seeking public input on the Draft Regional Wastewater Master Plan from February 9, 2024, through April 22, 2024. Please submit any comments or questions by visiting the following website:  https://pbrhawaii.commentinput.com/?id=rsQEVNj5T

Additionally, the County is hosting two public workshops, seeking public feedback on the Draft Master Plan. The first workshop was held online on Thursday, March 14, 2024, 5pm-6:30 pm. The slides from that workshop can be found  here . A recording of the workshop can be found  here  (passcode: qw+k19XC).

The second meeting will be held in-person:

Monday , April 8, 2024, 5:30 pm-7pm

Waikoloa Elementary and Middle School Cafeteria (PLEX Building)

68-1730 Hooko St, Waikoloa Village, HI 96738

Based on the feedback received online and via public workshops, a Final Master Plan is expected to be completed in July 2024.
